OmniVectors builds the PyExcelAI suite — a family of AI-powered financial tools for Excel, Google Sheets, and the web.
PyExcelAI began with a quant developer's own frustration: the real financial work — models, filings, forecasts — happens in a spreadsheet, but the powerful tools (Python, AI, real data feeds) always lived somewhere else. Every analysis meant exporting, switching tabs, or waiting on someone else's dashboard. So the first version of PyExcelAI put Python and AI directly into a cell instead — talk to your spreadsheet in plain English, and get the model, the chart, or the answer written back where you're already working, in Excel or Google Sheets (Mac support is on the roadmap).
That one idea grew fast because the underlying engine was genuinely general-purpose: the same Monte Carlo simulation, SEC EDGAR retrieval, and multi-provider AI routing that powered a spreadsheet formula could just as easily power a standalone web app. So it did — first a retirement planner, then a guided wizard with an AI Advisor, then a full Pro planner for advisors, then equity research and data tools. All of it dockerized behind one backend, all of it sharing the same function registry, so a capability built once is available everywhere instantly rather than rebuilt per surface.
Today that whole suite — the spreadsheet add-in and the web apps — is what OmniVectors, a Cloud Labs LLC company, builds and operates. The teams actually using it span finance and data science to legal, healthcare, engineering, and founders building their own companies — different jobs, same principle: give people grounded, AI-narrated answers computed from their own numbers, wherever they already work, free to start.
